 Let’s Talk It Ovar
Ovarian/GYN Support Group

ltio-logoPlease join us for lunch and informal discussions about the issues related to being diagnosed with Ovarian and/or a GYN Cancer. This group is open to all women either newly diagnosed, currently in treatment or in remission. You are welcome to join our group if you need support or encouragement or just someone to talk to. We are here to support you. We care. Let us help you.  There are no fees to attend these meetings.

When: 2nd Tuesday of Every Month

January - November

Where:   St. Anne Hospital Cancer Center, Toledo, Ohio

2nd floor library.

Time: Noon until 2 PM

When diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer most patients have little or no information about the disease. We have a wonderful, caring, warm group of ladies who openly share experiences and feelings. We share information about treatments, tests and side effects, including details that you may never learn from your Oncologist or the Internet. Long time survivors will inspire you and give hope to the newly diagnosed.

Many times survivors say that family and good friends are important but there is nothing, truly nothing like that first moment when you look into the eyes of another survivor and realize that they truly do understand what you are going through. At that point, we hope a little bit of the loneliness will melt away.

So, please join us. If you feel a little uncomfortable coming alone, please contact us and someone will pick you up.

You will feel a part of the group the minute you meet us.

Come share your experiences, or just listen to others. Come cry with us. Come laugh with us. We are all in this together and we really do understand.

Refreshments are provided and there is no cost to attend.

Nightingales Harvest began in May of 2011 as a non-profit, tax exempt, 501(c)3 organization that has served over 431 local households at no cost. The program markets to and receives referrals from cancer agencies, physicians, cancer centers, hospitals, and other service providers. Patients may also self-refer or receive referrals from caregivers or family members. As word of the program spreads, more individuals request services. Nightingales Harvest now needs funding to expand its reach and meet growing community needs.
